Nature

City lights
Interrupt the beauty in the
Deep black sky
and twinkling stars.

Honking car horns
Intercept the sounds of nature,
The scurries of little creatures
and swooshing of leaves in the trees.

I don't understand.
Why don't we all just slow down
for a bit?
Look up at the sky with those little
dots of light.
Listen to that music made by the wind
and branches of trees.
You call that loitering?
I call that lingering.
You call that noise?
I call that music.

You call me crazy?
I don't care.

I love nature,
The animals, plants,
all that is included in that one
Beautiful word:

Nature.
